Vijayawada: The state govt will issue the mega DSC notification this month and will complete teacher appointments before the start of the next academic year, chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu announced on Tuesday. He said key election promises like Thalliki Vandanam, Annadata Sukhibhava, and financial assistance to fishermen will also be implemented by the end of May.
The CM, who participated in a pension distribution programme in Parchur constituency of Bapatla district, personally visited beneficiaries’ homes, distributed pensions, and inquired about their living conditions.
“Some people take pride in pressing buttons, but in reality, the benefit given through those buttons is not even equivalent to the pensions being given by the NDA govt,” he said, taking a dig at the previous YSRCP govt, and called upon people to question those who engage in false propaganda and unnecessary criticism. Naidu said the only legacy left behind by the YSRCP regime was 10 lakh crore in debts.
“Despite financial constraints, the NDA govt is committed to the welfare of people and is delivering with effective management of finances. We have repaid some of the debts, pending payments, and interests left behind by previous govt. We are rebuilding the state, and are moving forward by implementing all the promises we made,” he asserted. He promised to restore the past glory of capital Amaravati by completing the works within four years, adding that Polavaram project will be completed by 2027, which will pave the way for interlinking of rivers. Explaining his pet ‘P4′ project aimed at fighting poverty, Naidu said even leaders like NTR, Ambedkar, and Abdul Kalam came from humble backgrounds, but achieved greater heights through hard work.
“My govt will facilitate the much-needed support by connecting the super-rich with the poor. We will ensure every family in the state has housing, pension, drinking water, electricity, sanitation, drainage, and internet facilities,” the chief minister added.
