Hyderabad: BRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) on Tuesday asked party leaders to ensure that the public meeting to mark BRS’ silver jubilee, which will be held in the erstwhile Warangal district on April 27, is a grand success.
The BRS has identified over 1,000 acres at Elkathurthy near Warangal where the party hopes to mobilise a million people for the public meeting. While the main podium will be in about 150 acres, around 1,000 acres will be earmarked for parking.
On Tuesday, KCR held a meeting to take stock of the preparations at his Erravelli farmhouse. Among those who participated in the meeting were BRS working president KT Rama Rao and leaders from Warangal district including Banda Prakash, Madhusudhana Chary, MLA Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, MLCs T Ravinder Rao and Pochampally Srinivas Reddy, ex-minister Dayakar Rao and others.
The leaders from the district informed KCR that all arrangements were being made to make the public meeting a huge success. KCR directed them to ensure people do not do not face any inconvenience during the public meeting.
The district leaders recalled the key role played by people from Warangal during Telangana movement and how the BRS govt developed the district.
