Salman Khan’s Sikandar, directed by A.R. Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, was released with high expectations on March 30, 2025. However, the overall response has been mixed and considering the current situation, it seems like a rise in collection is impossible.

Sikandar undoubtedly opened to a decent number on the first day and witnessed a little bit of growth on Monday due to Eid. But the condition of the cinema halls was not too good around the country.

Certain theatres have now taken different steps, including that they have replaced the shows of Sikandar with other films.

A few reports claimed that Sikandar’s shows have been canceled in certain places due to zero audience, which also happened on the first two days in places such as Surat, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, and Indore, where the Eid holiday could not attract audiences to the big screen.

Kirtibhai T Vaghasia, who has been operating the Surat-based The Friday Cinema claimed that the morning shows of 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. for Sikandar were empty and he had to replace night shows with Gujarati films, All The Best Pandya and Umbarro.

Similar steps were taken in big chains like PVR Inox, where Sikandar’s shows were replaced with Mohanlal’s L2: Empuraan and The Diplomat since they have been receiving a better response.

It looks like Salman needs a big change in terms of his films and performances. It is the right time for the superstar to be careful while choosing scripts and he needs a story similar to Bajrangi Bhaijaan or Sultan to earn the trust of the audience again. Let’s see when that happens.
