Every Month Babu Meets Poor, Roja Doesn’t Like It

One of the decisive changes made by Chief Minister Chandrababu in his fourth term is his constant connection with the masses. Earlier, he focused entirely on administration and infrastructure development, but he has changed his approach now and is staying more in tune with the public.

As part of the new strategy taken up by Babu, he is stepping out to selected villages every month and handing over pension money to the residents of these villages. This has also doubled as a mass outreach program, as Babu gets to interact with the poor and needy in rural areas.

However, it appears that YSR Congress and its firebrand leader Roja simply do not like what Chandrababu is doing. Roja sat in front of the media today and ridiculed Chandrababu’s pension program. She commented that Chandrababu is the only CM in India to launch the same scheme every month (pensions) and tried to mock him by saying this is the only program he has introduced in this term.

However, the essential point that must be noted here is that Chandrababu is constantly engaging with the poor and financially vulnerable population through this program. In contrast, after becoming CM in 2019, Jagan completely cut his connection with the poor, as he has not once taken the time to meet the masses and listen to their grievances.

But in the case of Babu, he is turning up in a village every month, getting a reality check on his administration. There has been a complete shift in AP governance and administration with CM Babu now being present on the ground. This appears to be irking Roja and the YCP, remarked a general observer. Earlier, Jagan proudly spoke about pressing this button 100 times, so what’s wrong with Babu going out and meeting the poor in one way or another? the observer further commented.
