The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate rainfall in parts of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Tuesday afternoon. According to the forecast, cumulonimbus (CB) clouds are approaching from the west, bringing rain or thundershowers between 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Some parts of the city already started to receive rain in the afternoon.

In addition, the IMD has issued orange and yellow alerts for several districts in Telangana for April 3. The orange alert, which warns of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, gusty winds, and hailstorms, has been issued for Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Nirmal, Mancherial, Nizamabad, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, and Mahbubnagar.
A yellow alert, indicating thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds, has been issued for multiple districts, including Rajanna Sircilla, Jagtial, Karimnagar, Pedapalli, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahbubabad, Warangal, Hanumakonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhongir, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, and Jogulamba Gadwal.
