Medak/Nizamabad: Sudden rains accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms lashed several parts of Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Medak, Siddipet, and Sangareddy districts on Thursday, bringing both relief and damage across the region.
While the showers offered much-needed respite from the soaring summer temperatures in municipal towns, the weather also caused significant disruption. In Sadashivapet mandal, around 25 goats were reportedly killed due to the storm. In Kamareddy district, drying paddy heaps were damaged in Birkur, Nasrullabad, Banswada, and nearby mandals, affecting farmers preparing for harvest.
Cloudy skies and unstable weather conditions persisted across Nizamabad district, with more rainfall expected in the coming days. The IMD has issued a warning for continued thunderstorms and rainfall across North Telangana districts for the next 48 hours.
