The production-ready Tata Sierra SUV is set to arrive in the second half of 2025. Ahead of its official arrival, we have seen the model at the Auto Expo, followed by several spy images and videos, and leaked patent pictures. Recently, a patent filed for its dashboard design leaked on the web. Interestingly, the patent image reveal that the final version of the Sierra will have a separate infotainment and driver’s instrument cluster, but it will miss out on the passenger side screen. The model showcased at the Bharat Mobility Show were said to feature triple screen setup, which is absent here.

The dashboard design, with 4-spoke steering wheel and integrated AC vents, appears to be borrowed from the Harrier. There is a possibility that the higher trims of the Sierra could be exclusively offered with the triple displays. The steering wheel features a push start/stop button on the right side and a rotator knob.

The carmaker is yet to reveal the interior and feature list of the Tata Sierra. However, it’s expected to come packed with several advanced goodies, such as:

  • Panoramic sunroof
  • Wireless phone charger
  • Dual zone auto AC
  • Multi colour ambient lighting
  • Ventilated front seats
  • Wireless Android Auto & Apple Carplay
  • HUD (head-up display)
  • Level 2 ADAS
  • ABS with EBD
  • Multiple airbags
  • 360 degree camera
  • Passenger seat airbag cut-off switch
  • Isofix child seat anchor
  • Electronic stability control

The Tata Sierra will be made available with two fuel options – ICE (internal combustion engine) and electric. Official details are expected to be revealed in near future. However, reports suggest that it will be offered with the 1.5L turbo petrol and 1.5L diesel engines, producing power worth 170PS and 188PS, respectively. Buyers will have two gearboxes to choose from – a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT automatic.

The Tata Sierra EV is expected to come with multiple battery pack options including a 60kWh, reserved for the higher trims. The SUV is likely to offer a range of around 500km. The lower trims might get single motor setup, while the higher variants could be offered with the dual-motor AWD configuration.
