Dhanush has directed ‘Idly Kadai,’ in which he also stars as the hero. The film has been in the making for a while. Though it was originally scheduled for release during April 2025, it has been pushed to October.
Taking to social media, Dhanush announced October 1st as its new release date. He didn’t reveal the reason for such a long postponement.
It is believed that he wanted more time for editing and postproduction since his previous directorial “Jabilamma Neeku Antha Kopama” failed at the box office. Besides that, he will be releasing “Kuberaa,” his first film with Telugu director Sekhar Kammula, in June, and he will have to work on his Hindi movies.
Dhanush has multiple films in multiple languages where he plays the main lead actor. In Tamil, he is pursuing his directorial dreams as well. “Idly Kadai” is his fourth directorial movie.
