During the raid, the taskforce, led by additional deputy commissioner Srinivas Rao, discovered that rice bags meant for the Public Distribution System (PDS) were being diverted from fair price shops to the black market. The seized bags, originating from the Food Corporation of India (FCI), were a key focus of the operation.
