Seven individuals were found driving with the Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) of above 300 during a week-long drive by the Hyderabad Traffic Police.

The level of 300+ BAC is considered so high that individuals lose consciousness.

The seven men were among a total of 1,029 motorists booked for driving under the influence of alcohol during checks conducted between March 29 and April 4.

The drive also resulted in 41 individuals being convicted and sent to jail.

According to official data, two-wheeler riders accounted for the majority of cases, with 886 violations recorded. This was followed by 102 cases involving four-wheelers, 37 three-wheelers, and 4 heavy vehicles.

Interestingly, only four of those booked were women, while the remaining 1,025 were men.

A total of 457 individuals recorded a blood alcohol content (BAC) level in the 51–100 mg/dL BAC range. This was followed by 217 cases in the 101–150 range, and 203 in the 30–50 range. Severe intoxication levels were seen in 95 cases (151–200 mg/dL), 36 cases (201–250), 14 cases (251–300), and seven individuals were found with BAC levels exceeding 300 mg/dL.

The highest number of offenders fell within the 21 to 30 age group, contributing to 419 cases. The 31 to 40 age bracket followed with 305 cases. The number of cases among those aged 41 to 50 stood at 180, while 72 were reported among individuals aged 51 to 60. A total of 28 offenders were aged between 18 and 20, and 25 cases involved those over the age of 61. Notably, there were no under-18 offenders.
