Telangana Government on Friday appointed former startup entrepreneur Kavikrut as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the state’s prestigious tech startup incubator T-Hub. The Harvard Business School MBA graduate, who was the chief growth officer at OYO, will assume office on March 10.
According to a government order dated March 7, 2025, the Board of T-Hub constituted an interview sub-committee, comprising three members, for the selection of CEO. The committee scrutinised the nine applications received before recommending Kavikrut for the role.
“The Government, after careful examination of the matter, hereby appoint Kavikrut to the post of Chief Executive Officer, T-Hub, Telangana for a period of three years w.e.f. 10th March, 2025. The terms & conditions will be issued separately,” the order said.
Kickstarting his career as a startup founder in the healthcare sector, Kavikrut worked with leading firms such as Amazon and Piramal Group. He also holds an MSc in Finance from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani.
T-Hub, the world’s largest innovation hub and startup ecosystem enabler, is actively engaged with over 2,000 startups and has raised funding of US$ 1.94 billion till date. The last CEO of T-Hub, Mahankali Srinivas Rao, resigned in October 2024 after helming the startup incubator for three years. The government then named Chief Innovation Officer Sujit Jagirdar as the interim CEO.
