Nizamabad: TPCC president and MLC B. Mahesh Kumar Goud announced that the state government is prioritising temple development, with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy focusing on improving basic amenities at all major temples, including the Limbadrigutta Sri Laxminarasimha Swamy Temple in Nizamabad district.
In his first visit to his native Rahatnagar village in Bheemgal mandal, Mahesh Kumar Goud took part in the celestial wedding ceremony of Lord Rama at Loddi Ramalayam Temple. The event was warmly welcomed by Congress leaders and activists, with villagers from Rahatnagar and Pipri joining the celebrations amid traditional gajamala offerings.
Mahesh Kumar Goud recalled his family’s legacy in temple reconstruction, noting that his late father, Gangadhar Goud, rebuilt Loddi Ramalayam Temple in 1969. “Over the years, the temple has grown into a grand religious centre, drawing devotees from undivided Nizamabad and Karimnagar districts,” he said.
During the event, the TPCC chief declared a donation of Rs 2 lakh for Loddi Ramalayam Temple and promised the construction of a community hall and a double road adjacent to the temple. Additionally, he announced that Rs 50 lakh will be sanctioned for the Lalita-Durga Matha Temple. Plans are also underway to construct a guesthouse on a one-acre endowment land at Limbadrigutta.
