Hyderabad: Nizamabad police commissioner P. Sai Chaitanya on Monday informed that any lawful gathering of people should be organized only after obtaining prior permission from the officers concerned.
After reviewing the situation carefully and with a view of maintaining public order, peace and tranquility in Nizamabad, Chaitanya issued a notification with prohibitory orders exercising powers conferred upon him under Section 163 of BNSS. The prohibitory orders would be in force with effect from April 10 to 14.
The police prohibited making a speech, gesture of mimetic representation, exhibition or dissemination of pictures, symbols, placards or any other thing which is likely to create religious animosity for hatred between different communities or individuals or is likely to bring about commission of any offence of disturbance to or contempt of the tow or a lawful authority.
Carrying of any inflammable material or any other material was also prohibited along with consumption of liquor, toddy or any other form of alcohol and Intoxicant in public places.
The police prohibit bursting of crackers in all public places in the Commissionerate jurisdiction in addition to high volume sound emitting systems, including DJs at public gatherings including processions.
Bike rally and bike ride with altercation silencer to generate sound was also prohibited along with use of flexi or banner to exhibit other communities in a derogatory way. The use of drones in densely populated areas was banned due to safety concerns of the general public.
The police officers on duty, home guards and military/para military personnel were exempted from these orders. Any person violating the orders would be liable for prosecution under the law, he said.
