The Mangalhat police have registered a case against BJP MLA T. Raja Singh for violating orders during the Rama Navami Shobha Yatra procession taken out in the city on April 6.
Mangalhat Inspector M. Mahesh stated that former BJP minister Anand Singh and MP candidate Bhagavanth Rao have also been booked in connection with the incident.
According to the police, the individuals violated official orders by deploying high-volume sound/DJ systems during the annual religious procession without obtaining the required permissions. In addition, they used “unparliamentary words” against on duty officers.
Further investigation is under way, informed a police officer.
