Karimnagar: BRS leader and former MLA Sunke Ravishankar has asked party workers to participate in the BRS silver jubilee celebration meeting to be held in Warangal on April 27 in big numbers and make it a grand success.
Speaking at the Choppadandi constituency level preparatory meeting in Gangadhara mandal on Wednesday, he said 25 years ago, the TRS was formed in protest against the injustice done to Telangana in the allocation of water, funds and jobs.
Under the aegis of K Chandrashekhar Rao, the party waged a relentless agitation to achieve a separate State, he said, adding that after formation of a separate State, TRS turned into BRS as part of the reconstruction of Telangana and brought about revolutionary changes by taking welfare schemes to each and every house.
A number of schemes were introduced for the welfare of farmers, weaker sections, dalits and others. It was to the credit of Chandrashekhar Rao that the State reached the top spot in all fields in the country. Chandrashekhar Rao would guide the cadre on the future of Telangana in the silver jubilee meeting, he added.
Informing that all arrangements are being made to attend the meeting, he wanted the leaders, workers and others to participate in the meeting in a big numbers and make it a grand success.
