Responding to the requests of residents from Perecherla and Pedapalakaluru, Union Minister of State for Rural Development and Communications, Dr. Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar, facilitated the restoration of a key RTC bus route linking Guntur and Vijayawada via several rural areas.
Local residents had recently met Dr. Pemmasani at his office in Guntur, expressing difficulties in commuting due to the lack of regular bus services. Highlighting the impact on daily commuters, including employees and small business owners, they urged for the revival of the “Palle Velugu” route from Perecherla.
In a statement on Wednesday, Dr. Pemmasani said that based on his request, the APSRTC officials reinstated the route through Perecherla, Pedapalakaluru, Gujjanagundla, Koritepadu, and Lodge Centre. The authorities reintroduced special services between Guntur and Vijayawada, with 15 daily trips now operational, he added.
