Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy here on Friday asked the officials concerned to expedite works related to Musi River development project.

Participating in a meeting with officials concerned at Integrated Command and Control Centre in Banjara Hills, he examined designs related to construction of Gandhi sarovar and bridges to be built on Miralam Tank. He instructed officials to invite tenders in June to start the works.

Reviewing the works related to Regional Ring Road (RRR), Revanth Reddy asked officials to speed up works and advised them to lay special focus on land acquisition at the highways. He wanted authorities to prepare plans for constructing the road connecting Hyderabad with Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh and submit them to the National Highways Authority of India.

He asked officials to prepare plans for a new road from Hyderabad to Macherial.

During the meeting, a decision was also taken to expand metro rail to Future City. Revanth Reddy instructed officials to prepare plans in this regard. He wanted officials to prepare new plans for metro rail from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) to Future City and Young India Skill Development University covering 40 kms.
