The incident follows a recent fire at Tirumala’s Laddu counter, reportedly triggered by a UPS short circuit, which caused panic but was swiftly contained.

In November 2024, a gas leak at a laboratory in Andhra Pradesh’s Anakapalli district left one dead and eight hospitalised. The leak, involving hydrochloric acid and chlorine, caused 11 workers in all to fall ill.
