Sources said the Inspector had recovered a bike from a theft accused and submitted it to the court. However, the bike was later handed over to someone by the police without obtaining proper court orders.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Commissioner of Police, C V Anand on Friday placed under suspension Inspector of Chaderghat police station for dereliction of duty.
The Inspector M Raju had reportedly shown negligence while dealing with property recovered in a theft case.
According to the sources, the Inspector had recovered a bike from the property offender and deposited in court. However the bike without court orders was handed over to someone by the police.
After the issue came to the notice of senior police officials an inquiry was conducted and the Inspector Raju placed under suspension. Brahma Murari, was appointed as new Inspector of Chaderghat police station.
