The government has assured the farmers that crops damaged in the recent hailstorms would be compensated soon and all possible support would be extended to them.

The assurance came from Ministers D. Sridhar Babu, Tummala Nageshwar Rao and Ponnam Prabhakar after they visited the fields in Ibrahimnagar in Siddipet district where crops were damaged in the unseasonal rains and hailstorm. The Ministers inspected the damaged crops enroute Sircilla on Friday.

They interacted with farmers to assess the extent of losses incurred and also the officials who were present. They asked the farmers not to panic and that the government would provide all possible help. They said the officers would conduct inspections in all the affected villages and assess the damage suffered, particularly mango farms. Action would be taken after their detailed report.
