Hyderabad: Union minister of state for home affairs and BJP MP, Bandi Sanjay, on Sunday dared the Congress govt to write a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying no to fine rice procurement payment.
In a jibe at the chief minister Revanth Reddy-led govt during his meeting with central beneficiaries in Jubilee Nagar, Karimnagar, Bandi said, “Haven’t you deceived the people by not providing quality rice? Is Modi, who spends 37 per kilo, better or is Revanth Reddy, who spends only 10, better?”
“While Modi is building millions of houses across the country, are you making the poor in Telangana homeless? Are you denying healthcare to the poor by not clearing Aarogyasri dues and not implementing Ayushman Bharat?”, he sought to know.
He further claimed that all the money for rural development comes from the Centre. “We are asking you to acknowledge the Centre’s contribution to the rice provided to the poor. Is this wrong?” he remarked. tnn
