One of the benefits of buying a Samsung smartphone over Android phones from other brands, especially Chinese, is accessory support. Last month, we saw the Clicks case for the Galaxy S25, which adds a physical QWERTY keyboard to the device. Now, we have another unique accessory for the series, the Pitaka PinButton case for the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which adds three physical customisable buttons to the device.
Pitaka has priced the PinButton at $69.99. The brand has made the case using TPU and aramid fibre, and it covers the devices from all sides, which means that the PinButton will be very good at protecting the device from damage. However, the most interesting part of the case is that it has three physical buttons on the left-hand side, which you can customise to do a number of things, including opening apps.
Here’s how Pitaka PinButton works and how to set it up
So, how do they work? Well, these are NFC-triggered buttons, which means that when you press them, they send an NFC signal to the device. Then, according to how you have customised those NFC signals, the phone performs certain actions. To set them up, you have to open Modes & Routinesgo to Routinesin the If section, tap on the plus icon which says Add what will trigger this routineselect NFC taggedand then press any of the three buttons on the case. When you do that, the phone recognises the signal from them.

After that, it asks you to give the NFC tag a name. You can name it anything you want. Once completed, in the Then section, tap on the plus icon that says Add what this routine will do. Then, select from a number of actions you want it to perform, such as opening apps or carrying out certain functions in those apps. For example, you can set it to open Gmail’s compose section. Then select Done, and voila. You are all set up. Now, when you press that button on the case, the phone will perform the actions you have set it to perform.

Since the buttons don’t touch the phone’s frame, they don’t scratch the device. The only disappointing thing is that the buttons work only when the device is in the unlocked state. But that’s not a deal breaker. Also, if you were jealous that Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro series offers an Action Button but the Galaxy S25 Ultra doesn’t, this case will fix that for you. By the way, it also has magnets to make the device compatible with Qi2 accessories. That means this case does it all. You can get the case in two colors: Black/Grey (Plain) and Black/Gold.
