Naidu promises all help to beneficiaries of govt sops, welfare schemes

Vijayawada:Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu has interacted with the beneficiaries of state sops and welfare schemes, assuring them all requisite help during the public meeting held at Ponnekallu village in Tadikonda mandal of Guntur district on Monday.

A woman beneficiary, Sargala Neelima, told the CM, “After my husband passed away, I have been living with my parents. We don’t have a house or land. My father, who works as an electrician, supports our family. I have two children. I work at a grocery shop and am earning `8,000 per month. I had studied up to Class 10.”

Naidu promised to extend her all support through the CM’s Relief Fund and also medical treatment to her son, who was having a problem with his ear.

Another woman, Godavarthy Swapna, said, “I have two children. In our house built by my father-in-law, four families are living. We have no property or land. I have studied up to graduation. My husband works in a centering unit and his job is irregular. I request the CM to help me with a job for myself.”

The CM promised her help and asked the district collector to do the needful.

Earlier, Naidu slammed the critics of his P4 initiative — Margadarsi-Bangaru Kutumbam– by saying that those having no proper understanding of it have started criticising the programme.

Referring to the death of cattle at Tirumala Gosala, Naidu condemned the spread of lies in this connection. He wondered how those who attacked the temples suddenly claimed deep devotion to Lord Venkateswara.

He recalled how in the past, they spread the false narrative of a ‘pink diamond’ that never existed, if only to mislead the people and grab power. “When I filed a defamation case seeking `100 crore in damages, they quietly withdrew the case in the court admitting that the diamond did not exist.”

“They even spread lies about their uncle’s murder, calling it a heart attack initially and later blaming me, trying to gain votes out of sympathy. When questions were raised, they filed false cases and harassed those who demanded justice in Viveka’s murder case.”

The CM noted, “Six witnesses have already died. I too was misled once into believing the axe attack was a heart attack. It would have been a different scenario had the culprits been arrested on the very day of the crime.”
