Hyderabad: Three days before his marriage, a rowdy history-sheeter of Falaknuma police station was murdered by unidentified persons at Dabeerpura flyover on Sunday midnight.
His marriage was scheduled to be performed in three days. The murder triggered panic among residents in the locality prompting the police to post a pocket.
Twenty-seven-year-old Masiuddin, a resident of Falaknuma, came to his grandmother’s house in Rein Bazar to distribute wedding cards of his marriage. While returning, he stopped his SUV near a tailor shop at Dabeerpura flyover and got down when half a dozen people attacked him with swords.
The assailants surrounded Masiuddin from all sides and first attacked him on his neck and later on his face and other parts of the body. Death was instant for him as he suffered multiple stab wounds, the police said.
The police said the previous enmity could be one of the reasons behind the incident as Masidudin and his rivals fought on an issue recently developing more grudge on him. According to their plan, the assailants were waiting for an opportunity to eliminate him and apparently started following him from Rein Bazaar.
When Masidudin got down from his SUV, the assailants killed him on the spot. The police identified half a dozen people including Sheru, Ameer and Ibrahim in connection with the murder. The police booked a murder case against the assailants under provisions of BNS and took up investigation.
A hunt is on to nab assailants.
