Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy gave a wake-up call to the party MLAs asking them to counter the opposition parties’ mud-slinging on the government with the development agenda and promotion of the government schemes.
Speaking to the MLAs at the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting before flying off to Japan for investments meet, Mr. Reddy said winning the second time is the real test of the governance, and the Congress has launched good schemes to win the confidence of the people.
All that they need is to counter the poisonous negative campaign of the opposition parties through fake social media campaigns and doctored videos. Be with the people and everyone has to take the schemes to every household for the Congress to win again, he said.
The fine rice scheme will work magic and will be a path-breaking scheme in Telangana’s history. Similarly, the Indiramma housing scheme will also become a model for the country. MLAs should ensure that beneficiaries were genuine, he said.
Mr. Reddy also explained how Telangana caught nation’s attention introducing the bill pertaining to 42% reservation for the weaker sections in education, employment and politics. The government has also shown a permanent solution to the complex problem of classification of SC sub-castes. Take them and create that positive atmosphere for the party in the villages, he said.
Assuring funds to constituency, he asked the MLAs to prepare a Constituency Development Report and he would ensure the proposals are sanctioned enough funds. “From tomorrow to June 2 every MLA should cover all the villages in their respective constituencies,” he said.
The Chief Minister said Telangana schemes has hit the BJP government at the Centre, and to minimise the positive atmosphere, Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself has joined the campaign against Telangana. The BRS too is part of it, he claimed.
