Hyderabad: The Adilabad police arrested three youngsters for terrorizing people by uploading a post on Instagram with a knife stating that Section 307 (Attempt to murder) was over and now Section 302 (Murder) was pending. A separate case was booked for consuming ganja.
Adilabad Two Town Inspector Ch Karunakar Rao confirmed the arrest of three youngsters – Kothuri Sai Vardhan, Kavale Ashish and Kochade Nilesh – for the post on Instagram. During the arrest of three youngsters, the police conducted separate tests to find out whether they had consumed ganja.
After confirming that Kothuri Sai Vardhan and Kavale Ashish had consumed ganja in the test, the police booked a drugs case against them. The Inspector said the trio was arrested after registering a case against them under the IT Act. The trio aged below 30 years were residents of Adilabad Town.
He warned that cases would be registered against those who post unnecessary issues on social media threatening people. He informed that the district police would work tirelessly to provide a peaceful environment to the people in the district.
According to police, these arrested youths were friends of three other youngsters – Golden Karthik, Sidhu and Sai, who were nabbed earlier in connection with a murder incident that took place on February 24, 2025. All the accused had posted about the murder on social media.
