Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy has reopened five air-conditioned (AC) bus shelters at Ayappagudi Centre, Current Office Centre, Madras Bus Stand, Rajarajeswari Temple Junction and Sabari Sri Rama Kshethram in his constituency on Thursday. These bus shelters were built during the Telugu Desam Party’s (TDP) tenure between 2014 and 2019.

In the presence of Mr. Sridhar Reddy and his brother Kotamreddy Giridhar Reddy, 29th Division TDP leader Syed Khader Bhasha and TDP member from 33rd Division Manda Sukumar, both differently-abled persons, inaugurated the AC bus shelter at Ayappagudi Centre in 26th Division in the city.

“MA&UD Minister P. Narayana has initiated the AC bus shelters during his previous term as a Minister. However, they were not maintained during the last five years. After the NDA government came to power, he made efforts to reopen the facilities for the benefit of the commuters,” Mr. Sridhar Reddy said.

“Under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, several development programmes are being undertaken in rural and urban areas,” he added.
