Govt Begins Process to Present Gaddar Telangana Film Awards

Hyderabad:The state government has initiated a process to present Gaddar Telangana Film Awards to Telugu film industry. A jury meeting for the awards was held on Wednesday at the Telangana Film Development Corporation (TFDC),marking a significant step in reviving the tradition of presenting state government-sponsored film awards after a 14-year hiatus.

The jury is chaired by veteran actress Jayasudha and the meeting was attended by TFDC chairman Dil Raju, who addressed the members and stressed the importance of conducting the selection process with “impartiality and integrity.” He emphasised the awards’ potential to elevate the Telugu film industry to a national platform.

“This is the first time in years that we are witnessing such an overwhelming response,” Dil Raju remarked. “Even during the era of united Andhra Pradesh, the enthusiasm for state film awards was never this strong.” Expressing his confidence in the jury, he noted that the government had carefully selected industry professionals and experts to ensure a credible evaluation process.

Actress Jayasudha said she sees this responsibility as a challenge entrusted by the government. “We will approach this process with utmost sincerity and dedication,” she assured.
