Honda Cars India exports the made-in-India Elevate midsize SUV to multiple global markets with Japan as a significant destination. The SUV is rebranded and sold as the Honda WR-V in Japan, where it was recently subjected to the JNCAP (Japan New Car Assessment Program). The Honda Elevate (WR-V) achieved a full five stars rating in the crash tests with total score of 176.23 points out of 193.8 points.
Key Observations:

In the frontal collision test, the Honda Elevate (WR-V) received a five-star rating for both driver and rear seat passengers. The results for the offset front collision and side impact on the driver’s seat were also impressive, each earning a Level 5 out of 5. The SUV also provided good protection to the pedestrian, with a score of Level 4 out of 5 for head impact and Level 5 out of 5 for leg impact.
In the preventive and collision safety, the SUV scored 95% with 82.22 points out of 85.8 and 86% with 86.01 points out of 100, respectively. In the autonomous emergency braking and automatic emergency call system tests, the Honda SUV performed so well, scoring 8 out of 8 and 5 out of 5, respectively. The rear impact neck protection was also rated as good.

Safety Features:
The Honda Elevate (or Honda WR-V) underwent through multiple tests at different speeds – 10kmph, 20kmph and 45kmph. The Z+ trim was the variant subjected to the Japan NCAP. All trims of the Japan-spec model feature Honda SENSING system (ADAS) offering safety features such as lane keeping assist system, adaptive cruise control, pedestrian collision mitigation steering system, road departure mitigation system, parking sensor system, auto high beam headlights, etc.
Additionally, the Honda WR-V gets 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, hill start assist, vehicle stability control system, Isofix child mount seats, rear parking sensors and camera, child safety locks, seat belt warnings, a day/night rear view mirror and crash sensors.
