Private bus catches fire on National Highway in Vijayawada, no casualties reported

A private travels bus parked on the roadside caught fire at Krishnalanka area, on the National Highway, here on Thursday. However, no casualties were reported.

Public, who noticed flames, panicked and ran helter-skelter on the road. A fire tender rushed to the spot and put out the flames. The bus was partly damaged in the fire.

Short-circuit could be the reason for the fire, said the officials.
