Vijayawada: The high court on Thursday directed the Guntur district principal judge to depute a judicial first-class magistrate to record the statement of Dr PV Raghava Sharma in Borugadda Anil case. Raghav Sharma deposed before the police that he has not given any medical certificate to Anil’s mother. As the same was opposed during the hearing of Anil’s bail petition, the high court sent the records to district judge in a sealed cover and asked to record the statement of the doctor. The high court clarified that the hearing on bail petition will be taken up only after statement of the doctor is recorded. Police alleged that Anil submitted a fake medical certificate and obtained interim bail by misleading the court.
