A 35-year-old woman in Hyderabad reportedly killed her two children before ending her life at their apartment on Thursday, said the police. The incident occurred at the Balaji layout area of Gajularamaram when her husband was away at work, the police added.
The deceased woman was identified as Tejaswini Reddy, and the children, Arshith, 11, and Ashish, 9, the police said.
The police have recovered a suicide note purportedly written by Tejaswini from her house, said an officer.
According to the Jeedimetla police, the woman cited health issues as well as family disputes as reasons for taking the extreme step.
“She was unable to live with the health issues in their life, and there were several petty issues too. We have recovered her suicide note. She had also been having arguments with her husband, and her mental condition was reportedly unstable,” G Mallesh, Jeedimetla station house officer, told indianexpress.com.
The police have registered a case and started an investigation.
The bodies of the children were found by their father. They have suffered multiple head injuries, according to the police.
