All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday (April 19, 2025) appealed to all those intending to participate in the All India Muslim Personal Law Board’s (AIMPLB) protest meeting at Darussalam to arrive at the venue peacefully and refrain from unnecessarily raising slogans. The meeting is scheduled for Saturday evening at 7 p.m.
Mr. Owaisi, in a video message, emphasised that the meeting was not directed against any particular community but was being organised to oppose to the Waqf Amendment Act, 2025, passed by the Parliament.
He urged the public to cooperate fully with police and to park vehicles only in designated spaces. Parking arrangements have been made at Nampally College, the Veterinary Hospital in Agapura, and Goshamahal Stadium.
“We have always ensured that the situation in our city, Hyderabad, remains peaceful. We must continue to do this. There should be no illegal activity. Do not raise unnecessary slogans. This public meeting organised by the All India Muslim Personal Law Board is not against any religion or community. It is a protest against the black law brought in by the Central government,” Mr. Owaisi said.
