Allu Arjun, who was last seen in the blockbuster film ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule‘, is working on his next ambitious film as he has joined hands with acclaimed director Atlee for an upcoming movie, tentatively titled ‘AA22xA6.’
Hyderabad to Mumbai in style
The actor was recently spotted at Hyderabad airport in an all-black, casual ensemble, sporting a neatly trimmed beard and hairstyle. After being seen leaving Hyderabad, the actor arrived at the Mumbai airport, as shown in multiple social media posts.
Allu Arjun’s next film has been the talk of the town after he officially announced his collaboration with Atlee, the director behind blockbusters like ‘Jawan’ and more. The announcement, made on Arjun’s 43rd birthday, was accompanied by a special teaser video featuring both the star and the director, as well as glimpses of pre-production activities and high-tech 3D scanning of Arjun. The film is being made with extensive VFX work and in collaboration with international studios.
A sci-fi action thriller
The film is expected to be set in a parallel universe, blending sci-fi and action elements. While early rumors suggested a two-hero film, Allu Arjun’s team has clarified that he will be playing dual roles, with Janhvi Kapoor strongly rumored to be cast as one of the female leads.
The film is expected to go on floors in mid-2025, with a grand release planned for 2026. The technical complexity of the script and the involvement of top Hollywood VFX experts, including José Fernandez, signal a visually driven, high-concept narrative. Music will be composed by Anirudh Ravichander, reuniting him with Atlee after their successful collaboration on ‘Jawan’.
Meanwhile, Allu Arjun after the success of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, where he reprised his role as Pushparaju, a sandalwood smuggler who rises to power against all odds, has another project from the franchise in his pipeline. The third instalment will be ‘Pushpa 3: The Rampage’.
