Chaplin’s 136th Birth Anniversary Held

Warangal: Roja Art Creations marked the 136th birth anniversary of silent‐film icon Charlie Chaplin with a cultural programme at Venumadhav Kala Pranganam, Public Garden, on Sunday.

Former government Chief Whip and BRS district president Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar, the event’s chief guest, lauded Chaplin’s rise from poverty to global stardom through “the universal language of laughter.” He highlighted how Chaplin, mute on screen, masterfully conveyed all nine Navarasas through mime and gesture, earning him the title “King of Laughter.”

Vinay Bhaskar also commended Roja Art Creations founder Shyam and his team for sustaining this annual tribute, which aims to keep Chaplin’s legacy alive for new generations. The programme featured dance performances by local children, each of whom received a memento in recognition of their contribution to the celebrations.
