Kesari Chapter 2 was released in theatres on April 18, 2025, and it has managed to receive positive reactions everywhere, including from critics and the general public.
While the opening day collection was reported to be around Rs. 7 crores, the overseas record has turned out to be better. As per the latest update, the film is expected to touch the mark of $2 million at the box office in the first weekend and the first day number is said to be almost $500,000.

Although the number was not up to the mark in the Gulf, similar records were not recorded in other markets outside India.
The number was higher than the expectations, specifically in the UK, and it was more than the numbers recorded by Akshay Kumar’s previous films, Sky Force and Sarphira.

Apart from this, the film was loved by the audience in places such as Australia and Canada. However, Kesari Chapter 2’s Punjabi feel was also considered to be one of the reasons why it did not do well in the Gulf.
Notably, a Hindi film has managed to receive a positive response in the overseas market a long time after Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, which eventually turned out to be a flop in India.

The film’s second-day numbers in India are yet to be made official, and it remains to be seen if the collection witnesses a jump on Sunday, March 20. Since there are no big releases in the upcoming weeks, the box office numbers might turn out to be better.
But a question remains about whether Kesari Chapter 2 would emerge as the highest-grossing film of this year. Let’s wait and see if that happens.
