Malavika Mohanan is one of the noted heroines in the movie industry. She made her debut in Malayalam with the film Pattam Pole and then ventured into Tamil cinema. She will be seen in Telugu soon. Already, she acted in Hindi films. Since she has exposure into multiple film industries, the actress recently shared some insights from her personal experience as to how things work for a heroine.
One of the main things that Malavika Mohanan shared is that the South audiences are obsessed with navel show. She admitted that navel obsession is a real thing. Since she grew up in Mumbai, she does not know about it, but later, when she was doing films in South, she understood this. “It was a completely new phenomenon that navels are obsessed over so much. And then you’d see pictures of actresses on social media, where they zoom in on their bodies,” she told.
Malavilka also explained how the people in Mumbai are obsessed with workout bodies while people in South wanted to look chubbier.
It is tough for a heroine to transition between roles and maintain a desire physique to attract the audiences. The importance for the roles they play has come down to how they look on the screen which is a sad part of the careers of the heroines.
