Hyderabad: Using medical drugs for intoxication by three students resulted in the death of one of them and hospitalisation of two others.
The incident which was reported from Balapur had the three youngsters procuring the medical drugs from a pharmacy without a doctor’s prescription and harming themselves.
As per available information, the youths, all students, had procured the tablets and injections without doctor’s prescriptions from a pharmacy for self-consumption. One Mohd Sahil sold the medical drugs to the students for intoxication.
It is learnt the three students injected these drugs and also swallowed some tablets at the same time. Among them, an intermediate student, Abdul Nasar died on the spot while the condition of two other students is critical.
Sahil, who sold medical drugs to students, has been arrested. Police said Sahil was found to be selling narcotic injections and tablets without valid permission. Police have registered a case and are investigating.
