Hyderabad: Sleuths of the Commissioner’s Task Force, Central Zone, along with Malakpet police arrested two Bangladeshi nationals staying in Hyderabad illegally and four facilitators for preparing forged documents for the accused.
The arrested individuals were residing at Saleemnagar in Malakpet with forged documents and they were engaged in doing business and other petty jobs.
The arrested Bangladeshi nationals Mohammad Hasibul has been staying in Hyderabad after chaning his name to Jovan Chowdhury, 25, and Rohan Saha alias Rohan, 21. Both are natives of Dhaka. The duo sneaked into the country with the help of facilitators, DCP task force Y.V.S. Sudheendra said.
Based on the duo’s confession, four facilitators-cum-agents — Mohammad Muqeed, Temura Sai Kiran, Gaddameedi Rajnikant and Duddu Sudheer Kumar, were also arrested by the police. Four persons played an important role in preparing doctored documents for Rohan and Hasibul. The forged birth certificates were prepared with the help of D. Sudheer Kumar, an employee of Narsingi municipality, the DCP added.
On the other, Muqeed, a pan shop owner, was arrested by the police team from his house at Akbarbagh in Malakpet, besides, Mohd Muqeed, T. Sai Kiran, a DTP operator from Chaderghat, G. Rajnikant, an agent from Chanchalguda, and D. Sudheer Kumar, an outsourced computer operator, in Narsingi municipality, were also taken into, the DCP said.
During interrogation, accused Hasibul (having a Bangladeshi passport number BB0921146) confessed to the police that he entered India four years back with the help of traffickers. The accused crossed the border in Benapole district of Bangladesh and entered India in Bongaon district of West Bengal, which is also called a donkey route. He paid Rs 25,000 to the traffickers.
After sneaking into India, Hasibul was staying in south Howrah and was working as a karate trainer. He was in possession of a fake aadhaar card (number 864359370139) having fake name written on it as Jovan Chowdhury.
In 2023, the accused developed friendship with a woman Jaya Chowdhary of Malakpet through social media messaging. Hiding his real identity, Hasibul married her and shifted to Malakpet in Hyderabad and was doing online garment business and also joined quick commerce platforms to eke out his living.
While staying in Malakpet, the accused with the help of Muqeed, T. Sai Kiran, G. Rajinikanth, obtained a fake birth certificate from Narsingi municipality sating that he was born in Ranga Reddy district.
The accused Hasibul had developed a friendship with another Bangladeshi citizen and a tourist guide Rohan Saha, during his stay in Kolkata, and to support him and his pregnant wife, the accused brought Rohan to Malakpet in Hyderabad. He provided lodging facility to Rohan at his residence at Malakpet and also arranged a fake aadhaar card for him.
Police seized fake aadhaar cards, birth certificates, voter cards, seven mobile phones and a laptop from the accused. The accused were produced before the court and later forwarded to judicial remand on Wednesday.
