Hyderabad: Two Bangladesh nationals, Mohammed Hasibul and Rohan Saha, staying illegally in Hyderabad and their four associates, who assisted them in their unlawful stay, were apprehended by the Task Force police on Wednesday.
The Task Force officials stated that the two foreign nationals are natives of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Four other accused individuals—pan shop owner Mohd Muqeed, DTP operator Temura Sai Kiran, Gaddameedi Rajnikant, and outsourcing computer operator in Narsingi municipality Duddu Sudheer Kumar—were also arrested for helping the Bangladesh nationals in obtaining various Indian ID proofs through fraudulent means.
The Bangladesh nationals entered India through a donkey route, reached Hyderabad, and began residing in Saleem Nagar Colony in Malakpet. “Mohammed Hasibul is a native of Dhaka, Bangladesh, and possesses a Bangladesh passport. Four years ago, with the support of traffickers, he crossed from Benapole district in Bangladesh and entered Bongaon district of West Bengal through a donkey route, paying 25,000 to traffickers. This is an important crossing point between Bangladesh and India. He stayed in South Howrah, Kolkata, and started working as a karate trainer, earning about 20,000,” deputy commissioner of police (Task Force) YVS Sudheendra said.
Meanwhile, he married a woman from Malakpet by concealing his identity. “In Dec 2023, through Facebook chatting, he befriended Jaya Chowdary, a resident of Malakpet, and fraudulently married her by hiding his genuine identity, then moved to Malakpet. He was making a living by selling garments and working as a food delivery agent,” police said.
While staying in Malakpet for eight months, Hasibul came into contact with Muqeed, Sai Kiran, and Rajnikant, and obtained a fake birth certificate from Narsingi Municipality, claiming he was born in Rangareddy district. Sudheer played a key role in obtaining the fake birth certificate. Later, Hasibul also obtained a voter ID card and then applied for an Aadhar card by declaring his name as Jovan Chowdary. Hasibul came into contact with Rohan Saha, a Bangladesh national staying in Kolkata with his pregnant wife. Hasibul brought Rohan and his wife to Malakpet and illegally provided them with shelter.
Police seized the illegally obtained ID proofs and arrested six persons.
