Telangana BJP president and Union Minister of Coal & Mines G. Kishan Reddy, on Wednesday, called for state-wide protests against the Pahalgam terrorist attack.
Addressing a gathering following a rally taken out by the party from the Ambedkar Statue, Necklace Road to the People’s Plaza and paying his tributes to those killed in the attack, he said that the protests should reverberate in all mandals even while expressing condolences to the affected families.
“The Centre will not spare the perpetrators behind the crime and it will do everything to provide succour to the affected families,” he said and blamed Pakistan for the attack. “The neighbouring country will have to pay a heavy price for trying to bleed India with its backing of terror elements,” he said, and accused it of fomenting trouble in a peaceful J&K. The entire society has condemned the attacks and it is also a reflection of the inept government in Pakistan, he added.
Earlier, dressed in black, Mr. Reddy along with fellow leaders — Rajya Sabha member and national OBC Morcha president K. Laxman, MPs Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, and Eatala Rajender and several other leaders — participated in the rally. Holding national flags, they raised patriotic slogans against the terror attack and Pakistan.
