Hyderabad: Justice PC Ghose, heading the one-man commission investigating the sinking of piers at the Medigadda and two other barrages of the Kaleshwaram project, will resume proceedings on Wednesday. He is expected to arrive in Hyderabad the same day and conclude the inquiry by the end of this month.
The commission has not yet decided whether to summon former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao or former ministers T Harish Rao and Eatala Rajender. Clarity on the examination of senior officials and political leaders is expected this week.
Although cross-examinations of several engineers, IAS officers, and contractors were completed a few months ago, Justice Ghose delayed further steps pending key reports. The vigilance and enforcement department has submitted its findings, but the report from the National Dam Safety Authority is still awaited from the ministry of jal shakti.
