Telangana sinking, not rising: BJP

Hyderabad: BJP Telangana on Tuesday lashed out at the Congress govt. Though chief minister A Revanth Reddy claims Telangana is raising, the fact is the state is actually sinking, party spokesperson NV Subhash said.
Addressing a press conference, he said: “The so-called ‘people’s govt’ has spent 28 crore on self-congratulatory messages across the state to promote schemes that haven’t implemented.”
He also referred to the National Human Rights Commission’s (NHRC) condemnation of the state govt regarding police violence against farmers, who were protesting land acquisition for the proposed pharma city in Lagacharla. In response to allegations of police misconduct, the NHRC team had conducted a visit to the region and validated the farmers’ assertions.
Slamming Congress, he remarked, “The term jumla — casually thrown by Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi at PM Narendra Modi — has truly manifested in the Congress govt.” TNN
