Jogulamba Gadwal: Sri Jogulamba Bala Brahmeswara Swamy Temple senior priest D Anand Sharma has been placed under suspension with immediate effect following pending enquiry into the charges framed against him.
Temple priests and Hindu organisations have been complaining against Anand Sharma that he was involved in different irregularities.
Allegations were made against the priest that he was not following the prescribed procedures in performing pujas. They had staged a protest at the Endowments Commissioner Office in Hyderabad last month.
They also submitted a representation to Endowments Minister Konda Surekha seeking stern action against the Upa Pradhana Archaka of the temple.
Accordingly, enquiry was ordered against the priest and directed the temple’s Executive Officer to initiate disciplinary action against Anand Sharma.
As per the enquiry report submitted by the Additional Commissioner the allegations received against him were grave in nature and the allegations were proved, the report said.
