The academic wing of Osmania General Hospital (OGH), Hyderabad witnessed a knowledge-sharing event as faculty from Stanford University, USA, delivered two lectures during a special programme held at the hospital on Wednesday, April 23.
The sessions, attended by post-graduate medical students, nursing students, faculty members, and administrative staff, focused on advancements in patient care and emergency medicine.
Mathew Strehlow, Professor and Executive Vice-Chair of Emergency Medicine at Stanford University, spoke on ‘Precision Health via Artificial Intelligence’ shedding light on how AI is revolutionising patient diagnosis, treatment, and overall healthcare delivery. His talk highlighted the transformative potential of data-driven care and predictive analytics in improving health outcomes.
Following this, Peter Acker, Associate Professor at Stanford’s Department of Emergency Medicine, presented a lecture titled ‘Caring for Emergencies: Now and into the Future’. His address provided insights into current emergency response strategies and future-ready innovations aimed at enhancing care delivery during critical situations.
