Hyderabad: The Xbox app has officially launched on LG Electronics’ Smart TVs for console-free gaming in more than 25 countries. The new Xbox app installed on LG Smart TVs allows users to stream Xbox games and play them directly on their television without having a dedicated console for it.
Users can use the application accessed via LG Gaming Portal and LG Apps to install Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and have immediate access to several hundred titles, from indie-indies to AAA blockbusters. Moreover, they can enjoy an expansive library of titles from major studios, including Activision, Bethesda, Blizzard, Mojang, and Xbox Game Studios. All they need now is a compatible controller.
The app will run on LG Smart TVs and select smart monitors using webOS 24 or newer. LG promises that it will announce the extension of the support to StanbyME screens soon, making it more available.
With the Game Pass Ultimate subscription, players can enjoy many titles, including the latest offerings such as Call of Duty®: Black Ops 6, Avowed, and South of Midnight, as well as gems to come, such as Towerborne. In addition, they will be able to stream some game titles that they already possess, like NBA 2K25 and Hogwarts Legacy, for a better gaming experience.
