Hyderabad: In some good news for people of Hyderabad and districts in Telangana, who have been struggling to cope with relentless heat wave conditions, the maximum temperatures are expected to drop from Saturday.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD)-Hyderabad on Friday issued an unusual set of four different weather forecasts for different regions of the State, all for Saturday.
In its forecast, the IMD-Hyderabad specifically issued warnings for ‘heat wave and warm night’ conditions, ‘heat wave’ conditions, ‘warm night’ conditions and also warned for ‘thunderstorms along with gusty winds’ (30 to 40 kmph) in certain districts only for Saturday.
The heatwave and warm nights warning for Saturday is for Adilabad, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal and Nizamabad districts, while only a heat wave condition warning was issued for Jagtial, Rajanna Sirsilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Medak and Kamareddy districts.
Warm night conditions will prevail in Yadadri Bhuvangiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad and Sangareddy districts, while a thunderstorm and gusty winds warning has been issued for Siddipet, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy and Mahabubnagar.
From Saturday onwards, the intensity of the ongoing heat wave is expected to decrease, as IMD-Hyderabad has issued a thunderstorm along with gusty winds forecast for 30 districts.
Barring Adilabad, Jagtial, Kamareddy, Karimnagar, Kumarambheem Asifabad, Mahabubnagar, Mancherial, Medak, Nirmal, Nizamabad and Rangareddy districts, where temperatures are expected to hover between 41 degree Celsius and 44 degree Celsius, the maximum temperatures in the rest of the districts are expected to drop and range between 36 degree Celsius and 40 degree Celsius, the forecast said.
Meanwhile, heat wave conditions continued to remain active with maximum temperatures across Telangana on Thursday and Friday. Maximum temperatures crossed 45 degree Celsius in nearly 30 different places in multiple districts, including Adilabad, Jagtial, Nizamabad, Nirmal, and Mancherial.
In Hyderabad too, several places witnessed temperatures between 40 degree Celsius and 42.8 degree Celsius on Thursday and Friday.
