Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy called on the delegates of the Bharat Summit 2025 to share their experiences, knowledge and skills, with the State government and also act as ‘Telangana Rising’ brand ambassadors.

He urged them to showcase the greatness of Telangana to the world, stating that his government (people’s government) is striving to fulfil the aspirations of all sections of society, including students, youth, farmers, women, and marginalised communities.

Addressing the valedictory session of the summit here on Saturday, Mr. Reddy said that people of Telangana had suffered a lot under the rulers of united Andhra Pradesh, and struggled for the creation of a new State. However, the aspirations of people had not been fulfilled despite their active role in the formation of the State.

Mr. Reddy also explained the initiatives taken by his government, including waiving off ₹20,617 crore farm loans for 25.50 lakh farmers, providing free electricity, ₹12,000 Rythu Bharosa (input subsidy), and ₹12,000 per year for landless farm labourers.

He also emphasised the need for skill development courses and mentioned the establishment of Young India Skills University to hone the skills of unemployed youth.

People-centric policies

The Chief Minister recalled people-centric policies adopted under Congress Prime Ministers, including Jawaharlal Nehru’s focus on irrigation and education, Indira Gandhi’s efforts to eradicate poverty, and the contributions of Rajiv Gandhi, P.V. Narasimha Rao, and Manmohan Singh to global technological revolutions.

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said that the presence of 450 delegates at the Bharat Summit provides a perfect platform to learn and imbibe the principles of global justice and peace, in line with Rahul Gandhi’s vision of ‘Nyay’ (Justice).
