Vijayawada, April 26: In a strong retort to the remarks of AP Congress chief Y.S. Sharmila Reddy attributing the Pahalgam terror strike to intelligence failure, AP BJP leader Sadineni Yamini challenged her to come for a debate on the issue.
In a statement issued on Friday, the AP BJP leader condemned the remarks of Congress chief Sharmila and said that the BJP-led government had been providing protection to the entire nation over the past 10 years, with no major terrorist attacks during this period. She credited the security agencies for offering foolproof protection and pointed out that nearly 15 crore tourists had visited Jammu and Kashmir during this time, with the global community appreciating India’s measures to curb terrorism.
She wondered why Sharmila Reddy was supporting the Muslims when the kin of the victims admitted that the terrorists had killed the victims only after discovering that they were Hindus.
