Cornerback Trey Amos was picked in the second round, 61st overall, by the Washington Commanders in the 2025 NFL draft. Here’s what to know about Amos.
Trey Amos draft profile, scouting report
Amos is a long cornerback with the size and foot speed to excel in press as well as zone coverage. His length comes up big on contested catches and his reaction is ideal for his size. He’s lacking as a tackler and can be aggressive sometimes in coverage, which could result in more flags at the NFL level. — Ayrton Ostly
Amos was an immediate plug-and-play success in his only year at Ole Miss. Amos transferred in from Alabama, where he was behind established starters on the depth chart, and became Ole Miss’ best defensive back. He was first team All-SEC as a cornerback. Amos has good measurables and a good sense for the ball. He intercepted three passes for the Rebels. — Sam Hutchens
